Morse Code Challenge

Listen, then type what you heard. Five new items every day, the same for everyone, plus open practice whenever you like.

Speed and sound

New to Morse? Keep the character speed around 18 to 20 words per minute and slow the overall speed down to 5 to 8. Each letter then sounds the way it will at full speed, with more time to think between letters. This is called Farnsworth spacing.

Morse code chart

Morse code (CW) is still alive and well on the HF bands. Many hams learn it by sound, not by memorising dots and dashes, so try to hear each letter as a rhythm.
